Losing Weight is a Mind Game

 

Are you one of those people who has been trying to lose weight for, what seems to be, ages? Are you struggling to keep it off permanently? Does your weight loss journey remind you of yo-yo? If you are, I can relate to you so much. I have been there for most of my life.

I have been consistently overweight for the first half of my life. As far as the second half goes – it’s been a teeter-totter. I would lose weight, then I would gain it back, then I would lose weight again, then I would gain even more…. And it went in circles.

I have tried exercising, diets, combining both of them at the same time… And I couldn’t understand why I kept gaining weight back. I thought that if I exercise and I am on a diet, I should have everything under control.

What I didn’t know then, that if you want to change something permanently, you need to work on your mind first. You have to change your mentality. You also have to know not just what you want to achieve, but why you want to achieve it, as well.

I wish someone told me everything I know now, years ago. That would save me a couple of decades of struggle.? But I guess, I had to go through this struggle, so I will be able to help those who are going through the same thing and who are suffering as much as I did.
