Are you not happy with your life? Not satisfied with the quality of your relationships, your job, your health, your body? Well, it might be a good time to take a look at your surroundings, specifically, who you are surrounded by and whom you spend most of your time with.
Jim Rohn perfectly described it: “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
Audit the people around you, the ones who are impacting your life the most. Are they making you a better person? Do you have a better quality of life because of them? Or is it the opposite? If you are surrounded by toxic people, who are constantly negative and blaming everyone and everything at all times, then find another crew to hang out with.
And I am not referring to the people who have a different opinion than you. There is nothing wrong with different opinions. It is good to have critics in our lives and be challenged. I am specifically referring to toxic people, who are never happy and dragging the rest down with them. And if it’s not possible to completely avoid these people, because they might be a part of your family, then try to minimize the time spent together.
Whether you want it or not, you are being heavily influenced and your life is being impacted by those surrounding you. Choose your friends wisely!
